I won the 5k at Worldcup Stadium today, in a ridiculously slow 18:45. I had wanted to run 10k, but Jae had only a number for the 5... never mind, it was a good practice, and, as I started from the back, still a reasonable result, and good to win.
Team-mate Chris Doll finished the full marathon in 2:50:40, placing sixth over-all.
And do you guys see what a Japanese cell-phone can do? Uploaded the pic straight from the venue!

I'm trying to find the registration information for the Dong-A Marathon in March - the website still shows from 2007 - for that race the registration was open from Nov1, 2006, so I'm thinking we should be able to regsiter sometime around now for next year. Anybody have any recent info?
Also, my wife and I will be moving somewhere in Gangnam in December - I work in Yangjae, she works near Gangnam-gu Office station - does anyone have any info about running on those big hil

Hey all,
Here is a fairly accurate time table of the trains to/from NamChuncheon:
http://www.iccn.co.kr/zz_iccn/english/we14521_0.html
There is a charter bus leaving from Seoul, but you must finish the race and be on the bus to return in 5 hours from the starting time. I'd rather take my time, eat, shower, etc before heading back on a sweaty bus right after the finish. I just bought my train ticket today a

Well... the weather finally has cooled down enough to start runs at 8 a.m. or even later. Now the excuse will be it's too cold/cool to go running...
I would say get out there today and the next time it will be easier and the more often you get out and run, easier each time it will likely be.
Chuncheon and JoongAng marathon runners really need to start planning to wind down their training and make sure that you can handle the 42.195km dual between you and the road.

Hello all,
I'm looking to run a nice, slow, 14 miler on Sunday. I can meet at 8am at Inchon Station, near the river. Please call or email me if you are coming, so I'll know to look for you. I put my contact info in an email to you from a Seoul Flyers email list that I have.
Take care,
Crystal

Ok ok,...I just registered oneline. If you didn't see check out www.ccck.org
you can still (I think) register for the race tomorrow.
I'll carry my phone before the start so we can meet and run. I'll still need to run a full 12miles, so before/after the 10K I'll be running as well.
See you tomorrow!

Hi all,
MSN said it would be raining all morning, and cold rain is no fun. Hot rain is great, but I'm not a fan of the cold rain. So....I'm planning on running on Sunday, Sept 16th a nice and easy 12 miler. I'll post the time I'm meeting up with a few folks when I know.
See you soon,
Crystal
