10k Misari/Seoul

Kimchi and Tofu after the race

Today I ran the 10k in Misari in the greater Seoul area. My friend Bokjin Park picked me up from the nearest station at 8am. The picture shows me in front of his shoe-stall. FAAB (Free As A Bird) is a shoe for ultrarunners, BJ is the cha… Continue

Worldcup Stadium Seoul 5k/Marathon

I won the 5k at Worldcup Stadium today, in a ridiculously slow 18:45. I had wanted to run 10k, but Jae had only a number for the 5... never mind, it was a good practice, and, as I started from the back, still a reasonable result, and good to win.

Team-mate Chris Doll finished the full marathon in 2:50:40, placing sixth over-all.

And do you guys see what a Japanese cell-phone can do? Uploaded the pic straight from the venue!

Hey Juergen,

I hope all is well and the return was "uneventful". Jihae and I are enjoying some great muesli - thanks a million, that is great stuff!

Just want to let you know that Ning as of yesterday has an events calendar available for networks. Check out ours here but all members can now upload / edit and event. Handy for race info. Go to Features and then add the calendar under manage....

Cheers,

DD

Hi Juergen,

I am also sick as well. Hmmm - wonder if the mountains had some bugs going around! Hope you feel better and good luck on the race this weekend. I hope to meet up with you again next time I'm in Korea.

Juergen,

Have a safe trip to Korea, see you when you get here.

Has BJ Park contacted you at all. I talked to him thursday and asked him for help hooking you up with a race. I'll phone him tomorrow again and see what's happened.

Had a good run yesterday with a few new runners here....they mentioned next weekend they were doing a 10k at world cup stadium..Might be the thing for you.

Hey, I left you an email about the Track workout but your email address is so long who knows if I got it right. Just be sure to check your email. Also for whatever reason sometimes people with Korean or Japanese email addresses can't receive emails from me. So if you didn't get my email let's set up our track workout through this website.
