Hello,
You live in Bangbae dong? That is pretty close to me in Heukseok-dong. Are you interested in doing any runs together on Sunday mornings? My wife and I just joined this site and are looking for some running buddies.

Hey, hows the running going? I have still have lingering knee pain from the marathon. Friday was the first day that I could make it through 5 miles without intense pain and like a moron I went out and ran 11 miles the next day so I think I am basically at stage 1 again. My knee is killing me again. Oh well, it'll eventually heal and we can pound out some long runs this summer.

BJ,

Great news! I have a goal and will do Jeonju 48 hour in May to qualify and then get ready for Oct. ...I need a goal!

Thanks and I'll be working on the Race calendar in the coming weeks.

This weekend I was up near Gapyeong. At a moonie complex/hotel. Delivering lots of workshops to teachers training for their TEFL certificate. I'm tired! And so cold...but it will prepare me for my trip to canada next week. Cheers,

David

Hi, DD !
I bet you had a wonderful week-end.
Finally I got races list for 2008. These are for the ultra Distance runnings here in Korea. I will work on to convertthem into English for you this week. I will keep in touch on this regards. One thing,
we will host 24h World Challenge here in Korea during October, most probably the 26th. When I was in Houston Texas last Dec. I had a lengthy discussion with Dirk, Pres. of IAU, and I foresee no big problem at all our side. Thanks

I saw that you are planning on running from the Turtle Ship on Sat. but if you want, Mark, Joe and I are going to run Sat. and 8:00 from Hannam St. We plan on running between 7-7:30 minute miles if you want to join us.

Hi, David !
I do hope you have spent beautiful Christmas Holidays and I do also hope the best of the best in 2008 ! If my memory was correct, you were supposed to fly back to Cananada some time during January, together with Jihae. Are you in Canada at this moment or in Seoul yet preparing the trip? As said earlier, I went to Houston Texas early December as a head of Korean Ultra marathon delegation. After this race I and my wife Younghee spent one full week traveling the West e.g., Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Francisco etc.. Good thing was, I ran cross the Golden Gate Bride the day I was flying back to Kora. It was a thrilling experience, as the gate was closed by that time I got there( before the dawn ) and I persuaded the Bridge guards to open exceptionally for me . On my way back to hotel Hilton San Francisco, I was lost and I asked the police officer to take me to my hotel and she allowed me to hop on the back of the police petrol car !!! Happy New Year !!!

Dear DD,

Being a footwear guy, it is always good to hear from our customers that my shoes were great. Thanks. My shoes are even better, as price is half of those Nike, New Balance, Asics or such , while quality is more or less the same. My website is www.ohmyshoe.com and shoes brand is faab, a short form of free as a bird. Thanks again. Regarding our conversation at your flat last week-end, Please tell your friends if anyone of them is interested in running 100km races. I might be able to extend my hands for a ride, or maybe free bib number depending on the race director whom I know.

Hi David,

Thanks for showing me the neat run as well as going back with me to try to find my cell phone. Luckily, someone picked up the phone around Sadang station, exit 3. I must've dropped it right as we started the run. If I can get over this cold before I leave, I hope to go for another run in the mountain.

Hey David,
That's great! I would love a little guided tour one day up there - I'll spring for the beverages after! Maybe just into the new year - we are in a bit of upheaval (moving homes) and have a holiday in Kyoto planned for December, but January should see us settled nicely somewhere in the Gangnam area.
I saw your thread about the potluck. Sorry I'll have to miss that because of some previous commitments. It would be nice to meet the people from here in person.
Take care.
Lee
