there were about 28 foreigners in all and quite a few members of our community that raced in the jeju ultra marathon. it was definitely a success! we all had a lot of fun and everything was taken care. there were water stops and food at every 5K! ...
i will get that information and get back to you. i am actually getting my masters degree from yonsei and i know a few of my classmates are runners and they live on campus. they told me that they found a good route to get from the yonsei area to th...

I've been off my feet for 2 weeks. I took a week off and on the Friday after the marathon went running and BANG, same thing after 10 min. A big knot in my calf. So just been cycling/rowing the last 2 weeks -- really hard mentally and this has been my biggest break in 20 years. I'm going to try tomorrow to do a little job -- got to lose some weight and get back at it!
I'll be putting up an events calendar here and all members can upload their event info. A great way to keep the weekly run info. handy and info. about races....etc...look back here later this evening.
Maybe it is 290 that I need. I bought a pair before when I went to your office and they fit. They must have been 290. I have a pair that is size 285 right now and they are too tight. My toe is starting to hurt. I guess I would like to order a size 290 than. How is it easiest to order a new pair? My email doesn't work with hanmail.
Hi, Chris. This is another blessed Monday morning, isn't it ?
Am awfully sorry, our current shoes faab 1500 has a size range of from 260mm up to 290mm, not 295mm. How can I help you? Are you sure our shoes 290mm do not fit? Please note our shoes are 4EEE, very wide, thick last and may fit you and suggest you try
our shoes size 290mm. I will bring my shoes to meet you , if it suits
you. My next shoes may vary up to 295mm but it will be sometime during March this year. Appreciate your comments, thanks very much and I do realyy wishing you crack 2:45 when you run Dong A int'l marahton in March.
Perhaps we'l see you out perhaps not. We would like to join you at dunkin doughnuts but all of us have Sat. morning plans. That is why we are running so early this Sat. We usaully run later.
I'm already meeting Percy there at 7 and crystal is showing up too -- but usually we don't get going these days til closer to 7:30. If you can, run west and we will meet up along the way. I'm going west to the stadium and then back. ...... or atleast join up at Dunkin donuts in Ichon after 9am....
Chris,
Thanks for the info about Gangnam. My wife and I spent some time this weekend walking around, and picked up a decent map from a bookstore. I think we'll end up near COEX, as Deanna's new school is around there. We don't actually move until the end of December, and so I look forward to meeting you and going for a run in the new year - I noticed in your profile that you're aiming for a 2:45 marathon - let me know what day you're hungover, nursing an injury, or about to give birth so that I can keep up with you for more than a few hundred metres!
Later,
Lee
Sorry to be so late in reply. I'm just overwhelmed at work, so much on the go and can't turn sideways.
But ready to go tomorrow if you are around. Juergen , a German friend who lives in Japan is staying at my place. So we'll be running about 2 hours, slow.........
Do you want to meet down by the river, or can you get up here? We could run the mountains up here. Slow :) Up to you but I'd like to start at 8:30, not so early.
Also if you and /or the missus are around, I'm having a BBQ in the afternoon . 2:30 - and after. drop by if you are around. I'm at www.seti.go.kr Click the english and then location, for a map. Close to either Sadang or Bangbae stations. Give me a call if needed but should be good weather. 010 2893 4586
Sure, it's always nice with company. But I understand that you're a fast runner. I have dropped dramatically in pace the last year, due to living conditions in Malaysia. I'm happy to make the distance nowadays and beat 5 hours. But anyhow, if you want to go for a LSD or a recovery run, perhaps we can start up together.
Here's my mobile number 010 7169 0429.
Cheers!

Goals for this year
Crack 2:45 in the marathon

I suppose in Korea it has to be the Jeju Ultra Marathon. It's a beautiful course and well organized. As for international. I am a big fan of the Grandma's Marathon in Minnesota. Or the English style Cross Country meet for current Saint John's runners and Alums.
