Even smaller - Kim lives across the hall from us. Did you go to North Korea too?
Best of luck on the knee - when it's ready to go, let's do some miles.
Later.

Hey Lee!

I think I met a co-worker of your wife's this past weekend, Kimberly. We started talking about marathoning and your names came up. Small world!

I'm seeing the docs tomorrow for the knee.

Thanks in advance for the hook up. I'm so ready to run again!

Take care,
Crystal

Very good news. We have a saying here in Korea, which follows, the most successful runner is the one who managed his wife run as well. My congratulation to you. we have an ultra running race on the Dec 31, 2008, that is to be held at Namsan, the very heart of Seoul City. This race is catch phrased, " Celebrating the first Sun Rise of a New Year, while running whole thru the night. Website is www.seoultowerultra.co.kr . Or there will be another one , most probably the 2nd week of Jan 2009 in Busan. Participants might be a little over 300 or so. If you need my help in registrating, just gimme me a call at mobile 011-727-8541. Thanks BJ

Hey Lee,

As for the Dong-Marathon, their website is http://marathon.donga.com/seoul/international_e1.html registration is not open yet. I will let you know when it does. I will also be running that marathon. I ran it last year and had a blast. Their is nothing better than ending with a lap around the oylmpic stadium track.

As for running in Gangnam, it depends where you live. Actually, Gangnam is right next to the Han river which is a great place to run. Almost every bridge is pedestrian friendly so you should have no problems finding a loop to run. I live right across the river from you so I wouldn't mind running with you from time to time. The mountains around here a fun to run but they are kind of far from where you live. But Namsan (Seoul Tower) has some great paths.

Hi Lee,
No worries about he delayed response. I hope the visa run went well. Yes, I ran Huskies track for 4 years. Good times. It is funny because I do know Garry Drake. He is a quite a few years older than me but the track/running community isn't that big.
Yea, Bucheon is near Incheon on line #1, Coex is a bit of a trip for me so not really near there. Funny because getting from well say Bucheon to Olympic Stadium or something almost takes as long as driving to Regina. So I am not sure if that is close or far. Still getting used to this big city.

That is quite humorous. Not that Saskatoon is big, hahaha, or anything but I am sure that our social networks include some of the same people. That would be good if we could get together sometime for a run or whatever. Where are you located? I am in Bucheon, nice little place.
Cheers
Jason

I'm trying to find the registration information for the Dong-A Marathon in March - the website still shows from 2007 - for that race the registration was open from Nov1, 2006, so I'm thinking we should be able to regsiter sometime around now for next year. Anybody have any recent info?
