I'm trying to find the registration information for the Dong-A Marathon in March - the website still shows from 2007 - for that race the registration was open from Nov1, 2006, so I'm thinking we should be able to regsiter sometime around now for next year. Anybody have any recent info?
Also, my wife and I will be moving somewhere in Gangnam in December - I work in Yangjae, she works near Gangnam-gu Office station - does anyone have any info about running on those big hil

So nice to hear from you again. I will be more than happy if you come on in my office on the 24th of June. Thanks very much.... BJ
Best of luck on the knee - when it's ready to go, let's do some miles.
Later.
Lee
I think I met a co-worker of your wife's this past weekend, Kimberly. We started talking about marathoning and your names came up. Small world!
I'm seeing the docs tomorrow for the knee.
Thanks in advance for the hook up. I'm so ready to run again!
Take care,
Crystal
I acknowledge you the receipt of your e-mail as regards to you
and your girl friend's personal information, which may be necessary for the registration. As said earlier, this race will be held 2nd week of Jan 2009 and I will hold them till that time. I would like to suggest you please contact me agan sometime during Oct/Nov just in case I forgot to register. This race is known for Busan Beach Ultra Marathon 100 km, participants would be more or less 300, according to this year. Keep in touch... BJ
As for the Dong-Marathon, their website is http://marathon.donga.com/seoul/international_e1.html registration is not open yet. I will let you know when it does. I will also be running that marathon. I ran it last year and had a blast. Their is nothing better than ending with a lap around the oylmpic stadium track.
As for running in Gangnam, it depends where you live. Actually, Gangnam is right next to the Han river which is a great place to run. Almost every bridge is pedestrian friendly so you should have no problems finding a loop to run. I live right across the river from you so I wouldn't mind running with you from time to time. The mountains around here a fun to run but they are kind of far from where you live. But Namsan (Seoul Tower) has some great paths.

No worries about he delayed response. I hope the visa run went well. Yes, I ran Huskies track for 4 years. Good times. It is funny because I do know Garry Drake. He is a quite a few years older than me but the track/running community isn't that big.
Yea, Bucheon is near Incheon on line #1, Coex is a bit of a trip for me so not really near there. Funny because getting from well say Bucheon to Olympic Stadium or something almost takes as long as driving to Regina. So I am not sure if that is close or far. Still getting used to this big city.
