Sunday morning runs in Hangang Park at Ichon?

Hi. I just joined this group today (Saturday, April 11, 2009). I am wondering if anybody is interested in Sunday morning long runs starting at Ichon (maybe 15 km and up?). Please feel free to contact me: dtonetti383@hotmail.com or 010-2254-2333. It's a drag running by oneself all the time! Look forward to hearing from Folks!

i run past there every day so am up down for running with you...unfortunately, i ran an ultra marathon yesterday and i promised myself toward the end of the race that if i finish the race, i can take 2 weeks off. although i often make promises to my body during races that i don't keep. anyway, sometime in the future i should be good to go depending on the time. i usually try to attend church on sunday morning. but perhaps we can arrange something during the week.

an ultra marathon? really? OMG, i didn't think people actually did those! i thought they were for people who own cars! hahaha! wow! anyway, yeah, it would be good to hook up. do you know anyone else who runs there on sundays that might be interested?

Hi,

I live across the river from you (I run under Dongjak station on my way to the river). About how long would a 15km run take you? Generally I'd go about 15mins in 65-72/73min. Not sure if that's too fast or too slow. This Sunday I'm planning to do 80mins... probably in the neighbourhood of 17-18km.

I agree... some days it's not so fun running by oneself.

On a side note, I saw someone (ddeubel) last week on my long run going past all the construction at the park (near Dongjak)... was that anyone from on here?

Hi Michael,
I live in Heukseok-dong, quite close to Chung Ang Univ and usually run on the south side. Maybe you saw me in the construction last week. On sundays I am in the habit of running from Ichon side because that was wehre my partners and I trained for the Gyeongju marathon - they were both on the north side so it was easy to meet there and plus afterward we would go to the Paris Croissant bakery. There are no convenient coffee shops to gather in after running on this side. You run faster than me. I do 10 km in about 50-53 min and would do 15 km in about 80 min. Are you going to be at Ichon tomorrow morning (Sunday)?

I'll be running on the south side this Sunday, probably from the Dongjak bridge towards Jamsil (though not quite that far). Not sure of the time. Depends when I wake up. I usually leave around 8 or 9, sometimes a bit earlier.

If I see you (or anyone, foreigners and Koreans alike), I'll wave.

Jae and I are doing our best to keep the Saturday/Sunday running going on a regular basis.

I got your e-mail earlier, so I will see you tomorrow (Sunday 4/18 7:00AM).

For any one that is interested in joining us at Ichon-dong, please check out our website www.seoulflyers.com or e-mail me at markie_songman [at] yahoo [dot] com and I will add you to the mailing list.
