Running in Korea

.."JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT"..

Hi all,
it's still getting hotter, but I'm headed for cool Germany, and after that, looking forward to run in Korea in Sept. I would like to run on the 7., and the two following week-ends, and preferably not the DMZ run, it is too far from Seoul, and I hated the bus last time I did it. Where are you guys planning to run. Is the race at Namsan on the 13. any good? When's Terry Fox this year? Cheers, Juergen

Hi there,
Misari is definitely on my list, it is the last day of my stay in Korea. Only Sept., so the others are not possible. I found a lot more on the Korean site, so I hope we can do more. Keep in touch!

Oops I just re-read your post about not wanting the DMZ, but there is a shuttle^^

And they changed the time to 5:30, which means that you can go to Seoul Station by train, not running as I did last time... I will consider. Do you think this is the best race on that week-end?

Juergen,

I'm not sure. Sometimes I cannot tell for sure where the location is. And I want to run a DMZ race as I have not ran one of those yet.

I also saw one on Sept 7th for 한양대옆 살곶이체육공원 which is in front of "Hanyang University" I think, but I'm not 100% sure.
Here's the website, which takes some looking around as it isn't the primary page of the site:
http://morerun.net/

Also, there are races in Daejeon, Busan, and Gyeongju (south), and Chuncheon (NE) and Jangsu and Gwangjin (not sure where those are). Daejeon is just 1 hour on the KTX....

Instead of the DMZ another closer one to Seoul might be Goyang Marathon (I think near Ilsan just NW of Seoul, and you get MP3 sunglasses): goyangmarathon.com

I hope this helps!:),
Crystal
